Background Information on Split

Audio: Yes

This is an experimental movie with the idea of expanding a simple event into the most dramatic and detailed sequence. Splitting up a live lobster with the sharp silver knife was the only craziest idea Erik Call and I could come up with. We did our small pre-production planning and made a storyboard, so we could know how many camera angles we will need before actually splitting up the lobster. We shot this movie with Sony DSR-300 in the kitchen of my apartment. We edited it in Final Cut Pro and it came out really successful.
