Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
I'm really sorry about the site being down yesterday and today. The bandwidth exceeded 10GB in three days.
I'm not exactly happy with the way my host provider treated me though. I thought it was a little unprofessional but I'll not discuss about that right now.
In the meantime, anyone have better recommendations for host provider?

Contact Maury over at RAILhead Design...he went though the same thing you did I believe at one time and found somebody else...
Just a thought!
Posted by: gorickey at March 18, 2004 06:40 PMTo be honest, you're getting the best amount of bandwidth for what you're paying. At www.flexihostings.net , you can pay $2/GB(extra) a month, which may become costly for you. Anyways, Flexihostings is one of the best hosts I can find, and they have many different hosting plans. Check out all the links under services, and maybe one will fit you.
Posted by: Pixel Sage at March 18, 2004 08:23 PMI highly recommend Dreamhost (dreamhost.com). I've been using them for three years now and have had an _excellent_ experience with them. Their online control panel is superior to any others that I've seen and they keep adding features constantly. There are quite a few others I know of who love them as well, Todd Dominey (www.whatdoiknow.org) being one of them.
Posted by: slvrfrg at March 18, 2004 08:57 PMHey Adam,
I recently switched Geekspiff to Total Choice Hosting, and so far, I'm really pleased with 'em.
Posted by: smeger at March 18, 2004 10:01 PMphpwebhosting is my host for four sites. Its cheap, and it works.

Posted by: Oliver Cameron at March 19, 2004 11:00 AMHey Adam,
Check out a company called iPowerWeb (ipowerweb.com). I host a multitude of sites through them and have not found anyone else out there that can touch what they offer. They give you 800 Megs and 40GB of transfer month and all the other goodies you need. The price for two years is only $6.95/month. Hope this helps.
Chad
PS - I also go to RIT...

Posted by: Hasan at March 20, 2004 08:26 PMI have used many different hosting companies, and spent quite some time researching which ones would be best. One I am using now I can say is the best I have used to date. www.insiderhosting.com
You can see over at webhosting talk that they have a great rep, and from personal experience I can back that up. Quite a few members over at TeamPhotoshop.com are using them now (this is where I had heard of them). They have a forum you can browse: http://forums.insiderhosting.com and you can read threads from users and newcomers. I can say one thing and that is support is fast and Steven - the owner takes care of you.
Good luck in getting a host!
Talk to the guys over at deafening-urge.net. I host my site there and love them. Killer support, too.
Posted by: Collin at March 22, 2004 08:01 PMcheck out http://www.webhostingtalk.com there is PLENTY of research you can do there. I hosted w/ alwayswebhosting.com for a long time...they are amazingly fast with support...even on weekends. Never had any trouble and prices are really reasonable...latez

100 gb/mo
1000 mb space
9.95/mo when registering for 3 mo and 6.95/mo for a two year
They have other pricing, i don't know how you'd want to do it. Also, 30 day money back guarentee. I didn't need to use it but this would have solved your 3 day ordeal...

Posted by: Foreign at March 22, 2004 11:29 PMI recently moved my site to macdock.com. They're the best host I've ever been with. The best customer service on the web. Plus they do it all on Macs. You can't beat that.
