Adobe CS’s icons are currently the most hated icon set and personally I’m not sure why. I thought it was a nice changes from previous icons where they are too cluttered and cheaply done. Of course, it takes time to remember which icons belong to what applications but after that they’re fairly easy to remember. I also like the fact that they’re more consistent with each others instead of giving each of them their own colors.
If you hated it, how come? Do you replace the icons with something else?

I think they’re pretty cool!
The splash screens are also nice.
I’ve never heard of anyone hate these new CS icons. Personally I think they are great.
Who are these haters? Bring them forward :)
I like the new icons.
The icons are crap.
i like the new cs icons.
I liked the old icons.
Thats the main reason I haven’t upgraded yet.
Because of the icon? WTF?
I like the CS icons a lot better than previous versions of the Adobe suites. As Adam said, they’re a lot more consistent with each other and makes the applications acutally look like they’re part of a suite of apps.
I don’t like the Photoshop CS icon… the white square does make it seem a bit cheap. Not that I was a huge fan of the old one either…. I think I’d prefer an icon following Apple’s HIG better, like in the iLife style.
I love the icon.
Hunh. I really like CS’s icons… They’re nice and simple.
I like them. The white squares makes them easy to find in the dock.
Now lets talk about the new office 2004 icons. Did they got beaten with the ugly stick or what?
The new CS icons are so plain it is difficult to differentiate then from the dozens of other files esp on a folder with white backgrounds.
Are you planning to make new icons for Adobe CS like you did with Flash? That’d be excellent.
i know many people find these icons ugly, cheap, and impractical, but i thought they were amazing from when i first saw them. i think they’re beautiful- the whole packaging line in the CS is awesome and very Apple™-ish. Two Thumbs up to Adobe.
