I love the icon. I was just thinking that it might also be nice to have some of the icons in sys-pref re-worked too.
Maybe a stupid question, but where do I put this?
You can either do a get info on icon and copy-n-paste it on Desktop folder or do it through Panic’s Candybar app.

I was just thinking about how dated the Applications icon is… Now that I think about it, movies should also be updated. The matrix years are over!

If you want to replace the icns file, it lives at
/ System / Library / CoreServices / CoreTypes.bundle /Contents /Resources / DesktopFolderIcon.icns

I can find and edit the coretypes.bundle, but I also want to change other icons such as device Icons, any idea where these are. Thanks.
BTW, I you know I take my hat off to you, I’ve been around the internet a few times looking for this.
