I’m not sure if it’s cool or not to do something like this:

What do you think? Bandwidth/content hogging or that’s just how RSS reader works for some people?
[edit: It’s straightened out, thanks KapitalD1 for explaining the situation. It’s the way his RSS reader works.]

Well, It’s me who’s using that RSS reader. But, I don’t get what the problem is here. I just subscribed your RSS feed to that RSS reader and that’s how that RSS reader shows RSS feeds. Is there any problem with your bandwidth or something because of that? If there is, and if you want, I’ll unsubscribe it.
You’re violating his copyright by republishing is content on your site. You’re also stealing his bandwidth.
I had a problem with this recently, only the guy republishing MY content was selling ads (via AdSense) on the site, thus making money doing nothing but re-posting MY content.
This example may be “okay” (though I think you, Kapita, should password protect the directory so that only you can use it), but that case clearly was not.
OK. I didn’t know that it’s republished. I didn’t mean to republish it. All I wanted and I’ve done was subscribing the RSS of this site to my RSS reader so I could track this blog. Maybe others can see the feeds too. I didn’t know that. Sorry for that. And I don’t see any way to password-protect it. So, I better unsubscribe it. Sorry for all the problems that I caused.
BTW, I should change the RSS reader to something else. Maybe other blogs I subscribed also have the same problem. Again, sorry for all this. I didn’t mean to bother you. I unsubscribed it and there shouldn’t be any problem with it anymore.
Cool thanks for explaining the situation. That RSS reader you’re currently using is pretty odd at how it’s working but I learn something new.
The problem I have is Technorati auto-discovered your site and pingbacked all of the posts here. If they found your site, Google and all other search engines will too, making it a higher chance my images here will be linked to Google Image, etc. Bandwidth is running high with all people borrowing my images without mirroring it on different server. I don’t want to be forced to add code to prevent people from using my images directly.
Wild.
I’m starting to receive spam pingbacks on my worpress site. I’m not saying that the OP is spam… just that I’m starting to see it.
Very sad misuse of technology if you ask me.
The last time I found one of my images linked in someones myspace profile, I replaced it with something not so friendly :)
That put and end to that.
