Four years ago when I was an amateur at Photoshop, I’ve wanted to make something cool for April Fool Day and came up with Shuttle launching in New York City. It’s purely experimental and have no hidden meaning.
I used Lens Flare and Burn Tool to achieve the look.
I usually appreciate your site and humor, but fire and explosions in Lower Manhattan is distinctly unfunny, on April 1 or otherwise. Please have the good judgment and taste to remove the image.
I take it you never watch the news then in New York anymore? Geez…

‘A New Yorker’, I can understand why you’re offended but it have absolutely nothing to do with terrorism or disaster.
Censoring all images that offend you is not going to make you any stronger.

Hey, I know there are the WTCs there. Everyone in the country was very deeply affected by 9/11. One of my best friend’s dad died on the plane that hit the second tower. I’m not a New Yorker, but I have been inside the towers. It’s deeply affected me as well. However, pretending that 9/11 never happened will not make us as a nation any stronger.
This is going to sound a little harsh, and I don’t intend it to, but its late and I am unsure of another way to word this. I think that its time for us as a nation to start showing the World Trade Centers to remember. It seems that we don’t think about the horrifying results of terrorism enough anymore, and yet whenever someone throws up a picture that just happens to have the Twin Towers in it, everyone starts breathing fire. A little dose of that is good for us sometimes, and we’ve had a lot of grieving time, and now its time for us to remember, and sometimes a picture can represent a symbol of the ones we’ve lost and of the wisdom we’ve gained, and displaying that picture can help us remember that.
OK, I’m done rambling. Just remember that this is a 4 year old picture, and Adam is an artist (and a damn good one at that), and should be allowed to create and display whatever he wishes.
Nicely put together image…..but I wouldnt say its an April Fool….Space Shuttle taking off from their is never likely to happen is it!….so how can it fool people into believing it would?!…..as I said nicely put together though.
On the 9/11 front (as a Brit) I agree you cannot go on not showing images of the Towers as I agree that it helps us to remember…I still see episodes of Friends with them in…..but I think to put the Space shuttle next to them is maybe stepping over the mark a little and I can see why some folks may still be offended.
I would like share my thoughts about this too… I’m Adam’s brother and I know how sticky this can be with the WTC towers being lit on by fire. But this is purely innocent. To me, this is a reminder of what we were like before 9/11. In four years ago, WTC was the main point of NYC and rocket is a symbol of sucess. The meaning of this image used to be pride and strength. I’m sure that’s what Adam intended to convey through this image. So we should appreciate this as part of our history, to remind ourselves what it was like in four years ago. But, for whose who lost your close ones in 9/11, my heart goes out to you . I believe they are the heroes.

Offended by an image created over a year prior to the attack? Give me a break.
I wouldn’t be offended if it was a picture of planes flying into those buildings and none of you should either, so long as it was created prior to it happening. Suspicious maybe, but not offended.
