much better!!!
I don’t get what the quicksilver icon means.. IS it that prince logo thing o_O
…I don’t use Quicksilver simply because i don’t know what it does lol!
Nice new /menu/ icon though!
Nice icon thanks!
Apparently the logo is the scientific symbol for mercury (aka quicksilver). Something like that anyway.
Beautiful! I’m tempted to make it the default….
Much better! Thanks.
Great work Adam! Would love to see an application icon replacement too.
Looks great!
Would also be nice in ‘Tiger blue’ :)
Spiffy. I’d use it, but I don’t bother putting QS in my menubar. Its all keyboard-activated =D. I am however using my own custom icon I made for quicksilver in my dock.
Cute Icon. I love it
Thank you, VERY nice. Much better than the original.
Although I like your icon, I must say that I am still partial to the old one.
cool! i dont used quicksilver only because the icon was very ugly, but with this new icon i can be happy :D thanks
Stylish icon. Nice job done.
Do anybody know how the Quicksilver Icon in its ‘About Quicksilver’ can be made? i have version – 3815
Its kind of animated.
(old comments, but…) @Kane, Joe: it’s the old astrological symbol for Mercury, the planet. Every major heavenly body had a symbol and an associated metal (moon = silver, sun = gold, mars = iron, &c), because the metals were thought to be created under the influence of each body. In alchemy, the astrological symbols were used for their associated metals. “Quicksilver” is an old name for the metal mercury, for obvious reasons. Now you know.
@ravz: Examining the “About” dialog in Interface Builder (right-click “Quicksilver.app”->Show Package Contents, browse to Contents\Resources, open “About.nib”), the image is connected to the dialog’s controller. It looks to be done programmatically.
